Ella's Kitchen Company designs gorgeous, Norwegian-inspired Kitchen Food and Spice Storage Cabinets and other stylish wooden kitchen accessories.

I have always loved cooking and I put that down to the halcyon days of my childhood when I would spend time in Norway with my grandmother, Ella. In her kitchen was a beautiful, wooden Storage Cabinet, which had 12 metal scoops for all of the dry foodstuffs and nine spice jars along the bottom. I loved pouring out the ingredients from these gorgeous scoops straight into the bowl or onto the board and we would spend hours baking Nordic specialities together. When she died, Ella left me that very Kitchen Cabinet and it was the first thing I hung on the wall of our new house when we moved to Shropshire in 2001. Everyone who saw that cabinet fell in love with it and my children's little friends used to beg their parents to get one, but no-one seemed to make them anymore. So I decided to! They are made here in Shropshire by local craftsmen, using the best quality birch ply. The paints I use are by the Little Greene Company and I try to select typical Nordic colours.

Since then, I have expanded my wooden range to include Storage Cabinets of varying sizes, Bread bins, Storage boxes, cutlery drawers, bookcases, coat-hooks and many more. I now also sell other great kitchen accessories that I have come across made by other designers, but which I think my customers might find useful.
