With almost 40 years' experience, John and Nichola Fletcher are the UK's leading experts on venison.

John is a specialist deer vet and Nichola is an award winning food writer. In 2002 they were nominated for a Slow Food Award and in 2006 as Best Food Producer in the BBC Food and Farming Awards, in both cases for their devotion to high quality venison and animal welfare. In 2010 they won the Good Housekeeping Award for 'Best Small Meat Producer in the UK' in association with Slow Food. In 2011 they were awarded a coveted 3* Gold Great Taste Award for their Venison medallions and a 2* Gold Great Taste Award for their Venison with Chilli & Chocolate Sausages.

Fletchers' venison is traditionally hung for perfect flavour and tenderness. Most of our products are wheat free and we use no additives. Our deer graze free range in extensive grass pastures with no growth promoters or antibiotics so there are no drug residues. They never go to an abattoir.

Buy Fletchers' venison from farmers markets, from their farm shop, or delivered fresh to your home or office. Although we can normally turn orders around very quickly, in November and December we need three weeks notice to guarantee your order, though if you need it sooner, please contact us as we can often manage it much quicker.

Deliveries are made by overnight carriers who deliver before 12noon. Please make sure that someone is available to sign for your parcel. Your venison arrives fresh (frozen is also available at our farm shop) and is vacuum packed, so it will keep for up to 21 days in the fridge, or may be frozen. Because everything is hand cut to order, sizes may vary slightly. Recipe and cooking guidance sheets are sent with your order.
